Some of each. Some second-hand based on the color changes in of network text.

We'll need a lot more data. I've got ideas for effective ways to collect it but I don't have the statistics background to perform a really solid data analysis.

I'm working with John Egbert right now. He's organizing a volunteer effort for repainting the city. He has a lot of people on board. Right now we're working on dividing the city into a grid, identifying high priority areas, and assigning people efficiently. Asking volunteers to report their brush colors just makes sense, particularly if we have color theory data to work with later.

Yes. It sounds like you already have a good start. What's your window for data collection? A day, until this weekend?

Ideally, ongoing throughout the month. We'll only be able to make use of the data if, or when, colors start appearing. Then it's a question of what activates them and how they can be manipulated and controlled.

Having some preliminary data already on hand when that happens would help, though. In designing experiments and putting together strategies.

[ Thankfully, Mia went to art school, so she knows a thing or two about drawing. It only takes a few minutes for the sketch to be sent, and the image, when opened, would reveal a slightly cuter but nonetheless detailed rendition of Ryuk. There's even a tiny Mia that she drew next to it for size comparison. ]

[ He has a couple of options here...he could play dumb to keep what he knows to himself, as he has been for a majority of his memories to essentially anyone close to him, rather than risk suspicion on if or why he deserved that death. But she has a connection to the creature that killed him, so it's likely better to be honest. To a point. ]
